Being Australian, was it hard to learn the American accent that you do in the film?ĬM: I just watched TV and movies. I bet all their boyfriends will take them to it. But when I got the role, I read it out of respect - and it was great!ĬG: Why should everyone see the movie? What will we love about it?ĬM: It's the guy's side of the story but it's also told from the girl's side. I didn't even know it was based on a book. When Juli finally looks away, Bryce realizes that he may have been overlooking his elementary school play date the entire time. ![]() But his attitude changes once the two neighbors reach eighth grade.
